I keep forgetting about this blog. *shrug*

Oops..

Okayyyyy, so I've been really busy lately. Sorry for the break... although I know I'm probably the only one who looks at this, ha. I went to Atlantic City for the three-day Dave Matthews Band Caravan. One word: amazing. I don't know if I've ever been that dirty in my life. It was held in the middle of a field, so by the end of the day I was covered with dirt from head to toe. Attractive, I know.

Anyway, I had the time of my life.. minus a few minor incidences. No biggie. I got to see Dave four times over the weekend, as well as Ray LaMontagne, G. Love & Special Sauce, Lotus, TR3, David Ryan Harris, Damian Marley, Warren Haynes, Vusi Mahlasela , David Gray, Bassnectar, Amos Lee, and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. : ) All in all, awesome time.

Other than my little getaway, I've mostly been trapped at Best Buy/Geek Squad every day. *sigh* Agent Jenna at your service, ha. I finally got a day off on Sunday so after a whooooole lot of begging, my momma, stepdad and the twins came to visit. They even brought our boat so we could head to the lake after we cooked out! : ) However, it ended up storming ALL day long and we were stuck inside to eat a ton of food and do a lot of cleaning. My mom started doing laundry and eventually found herself in the disaster that is my bedroom. I guess all I needed was a little kick in the butt to get started, because by the end of the day, my room was next to spotless and the rest of my apartment looked awesome. Ahh.. I love my momma!

Yesterday was the 4th of July, as you all know. I had to work 10-6, but I got paid time and a half.. which is supposed to make up for it, I guess. *shrug* After work, two of my best friends came over to try out my new grill. We made brats, burgers, and chocolate chip brownies. Then they helped me set up my new table & chairs for my back deck.. looks nice! I didn't go see any fireworks, unfortunately. The only person I would want to watch them with is at the beach until Saturday. : (

I think that's about all of the catch-up you need, if you even made it this far. : )

Numero Dos

TWIX BROWNIES

• 1 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 1/3 cup + 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup baking cocoa
• 1 tsp baking powder
• pinch of salt
• 4 Tbsp butter, softened
• 1/4 cup canola oil
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 3 Twix candy bars, chopped

Preheat oven to 350.  In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oil, and sugar.  Add the eggs and mix well.  Add the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.  Fold in the chocolate chips and Twix pieces.  Spread into the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Someone! Please make these and tell me how they turn out. They sound delish but I don't have a whole lot of spare time for the next week or so. :(

Booyah! My First Post

I won't lie, I'm a bit excited about this new blog. A lot of times, I end up stumbling upon photographs, recipes, sayings and videos that I really like. For the most part, all I do is save them in a notepad file in my documents. I'll probably end up using this page as a way to share the things I find, as well as tell crazy, awesome or irritating stories that happen in my life. Here goes nothing...
